We are currently recruiting for a fun, passionate  and suitably qualified staff to join our Jungle Kids team. The club is based at Cookridge Village Hall 8am -5pm during school holidays.

Experience

Essential
Strong behaviour management
Experience of working with early years and/ or primary aged children
Must be able to lead a small team and use own initiative to come up with ideas to educate and entertain the children

Desirable
Specific experience of working with 4- to 11-year-olds.
Experience of working and supporting children and families with additional needs.

Knowledge

Knowledge of the Early Years foundation stage
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and special educational needs
Knowledge and understanding of the legislation requirements of working with children in an early year setting.

Skills and Competencies

Essential
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and organised.

Desirable
Experience of administration duties.
Competent in using computer systems including email and all Microsoft programmes.

Qualifications

Essential
Full and relevant level 2 and or above (equivalent) childcare qualification

Desirable – Must be prepared to gain the below qualifications
Paediatric first aid
Food safety certificate
Safeguard training
